Vodafone baby!
Hip hooray.
After finishing almost 12 months with Orange as an interim Product Manager, I've secured a new contract job with Vodafone. Product Management is the skill of taking something from a concept to a tangible 'thing' a customer can use and pay for.
I'll be starting next week with Vodafone, working mid week out of their Paddington office in London. Spending as much time as possible with my boys is very important, so I'll keeping my flat in Bristol too and ideally spending long weekends in Bristol.
I visualised what I wanted with work, said my prayers and went for it 100%. You can't beat a combination of determination and devotion.

Reasons to be cheerful
Amidst all the doom and gloom, the endless apocalyptic hand-wringing of the media, there are always reasons to be cheerful.
An economic recession does not automatically mean we have to experience recession in all areas of our lives, spiritual, physical, family or social. I think the biggest crime of the current climate is that if we're not careful we start thinking small. Now is a time for reflection, development, training, big ideas, relationship building and investing in our priorities. And for me, watching less news and writing my own. Here's an article from the Independent newspaper which offers 10 reasons to stay cheerful in 2009: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/business/comment/jeremy-warner/jeremy-warner-ten-reasons-to-be-cheerful-about-prospects-for-2009-1218390.html

Happy New Year
A Happy New Year to you all. May God grant you all the blessings you need, and some extra wants. Recessions come and go, wars eventually end, and things do get better over time.
